R Madhavan is currently enjoying the success of his latest release Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. It was one of the films with massive box office it. Ever since its release magnum opus has garnered adulation from the fans and critics from India as well as globally. There are several reports doing round on the internet about the film’s budget and the actor lost his house for funding the film.

Yes, you read right! one of the Twitter users praised the ‘3 Idiots’ actor for his immense contribution to the film. The user wrote, “Madhavan lost his house to fund #Rocketry and directed this movie when the original director had opted due to prior commitments. The ‘Vikram Vedha’ actor gave a modest response to the Tweet and mentioned that he didnt lose his house and wrote, “Oh Yaar. Pls don’t over patronize my sacrifice. I did not lose my house or anything. In fact all involved in Rocketry will be very proudly paying heavy Income Tax this year. Gods grace. We all made very good and proud profits. I still love and live in my house.”

Meanwhile, when the film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival where it received a standing ovation. It was even screened in the Parliament of India.

For the unversed, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, is an Indian biographical drama film written, produced and directed by R Madhavan. This is Madhavan’s directorial debut. The film is based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, a scientist at the Indian Space Research Organisation who was accused of false espionage charges, played by R Madhavan. The film has already been released in cinema hall on June 1, 2022, in Hindi, Tamil and English.

On the work front, the 52-year-old actor will be seen next in Dhokha – Round D Corner, directed by Kookie Gulati. The film will release in theatres on September 23.
